How CabTec Cabinets Are Made
CabTec engineers and manufactures its own line, so the construction below is the same behind every door style. Here is what each part of the cabinet is made of.
Collections
The classic Shaker line is the heart of the CabTec range, painted in white, dove, gray, moss, and naval blue, plus a caramel stain on birch. Sturbridge brings a different door profile to the same framed construction in white and caramel, and Slim Shaker narrows the frame for a lighter look in dove paint or a light oak, from kitchens to bathroom vanities.
Construction
CabTec boxes are 5/8-inch birch plywood with a full-height back of the same thickness, 3/4-inch birch plywood shelves on metal clips, and solid birch face frames joined to the sides with a French dovetail. Drawers are 5/8-inch solid birch with dovetail joints on soft-close glides, doors close on soft-close hinges, and the cabinets ship ready to assemble.
Materials & Finishes
Stained doors are 3/4-inch solid birch around a birch-veneer center panel, while painted doors use high-density fiberboard finished in Sherwin-Williams paint. When a room calls for a specific color, CabTec offers custom paint from the Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore palettes. The full line is KCMA certified and CARB2 compliant for low emissions.
